Per mL Glycyrrhizic acid 2 mg (as monoammonium glycyrrhizinate 2.65 mg), glycine 20 mg, L-cysteine HCl 1 mg (as L-cysteine HCl hydrate 1.11 mg)
Indications/Uses
Improvement of abnormal hepatic function in chronic liver disease.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IV/IV drip infusion 40-60 mL once daily. Dose may be adjusted depending on age & symptoms. Max: 100 mL.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Aldosteronism, myopathy & hypokalaemia.
Special Precautions
Carefully assess the patient on the risk of shock. Emergency treatment should be ready in case shock occurs. After administration, patient should be kept rested & observed carefully. Concomitant use w/ other prep containing Glycyrrhizae radix may cause pseudoaldosteronism. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Decreased serum K; increased BP. Rash; upper abdominal discomfort; general malaise, myalgia, dysaesthesia, pyrexia, hyperventilation syndrome, urine sugar +ve. Urticaria, itching; oedema; nausea, vomiting; cough; transient abnormal vision; headache, hot feeling, feeling ill.
Drug Interactions
Hypokalaemia w/ loop diuretics (eg, ethacrynic acid, furosemide), thiazide & similar antihypertensive diuretics (eg, trichlormethiazide, chlortalidone). Ventricular tachycardia (including torsades de pointes) & QT prolongation w/ moxifloxacin HCl.
